So I am been done with my first semester at Lewis University. This is suppose to be my 4th and final year in college but i am sad to say that it will take me an extra 2 years to graduate with a bachelor's in nursing. [all because I switched from medicine.. yeah..] whoo class of '11! ee-lev-en! haha

I'm jealous of all my friends who get to graduate this coming Spring semester (or in Carolena's case, in 2 weeks!) because they're ON TIME. i guess i can't really complain tho, my own fault. eh

anyway, being at lewis was pretty lonely. i studied alone, ate alone, walked around campus alone.. i was basically just alone all the time. this however, proved to be some kind of a PLUS... i worked out Mondays-Thursdays for at least an hour (usually more than an hour) to kill time and of course, studied my butt off.

To show for it, I got 4 As and 1 B-. I'm pretty much proud of my grades because Lewis uses the +/- system (which totally sucks butt btw) and in order to get an A, i had to have at least 95% in the class. the B- is from my pathophysiology class.. it's kind of like anatomy plus more.. like we have to understand what happens if something goes wrong. We had to learn how to diagnose people with certain diseases and etc. either way, I'm glad I got my 84%. now it's all about application. HA! lol

(It's funny cause at UIC, my A's and B's were probably like 90s and 80s..)

I miss everyone at UIC but to be honest, I probably wouldve spent the majority of my time in the library (like I did my last year there). But at least I knew people right? I need to learn how to come out of my shell and make friends.. or not. lol

• wii fit is fun especially with friends
• i miss cooking&movie nights at manny's
• last saturday was the best date ever, plus had the best steak & finally had a long island ice tea >_<
• i love chicago. (but i would like to travel more like the brave friends who study abroad)
  

i'm growing up.. and i'm scared.

nursing schools i've applied to:
#1. University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC)   -- rejected
2. Lewis University                             -- accepted!
3. Northern Illinois University                  -- rejected
4. Truman Community College (for RN)   -- accepted!     

nursing schools who's applications i haven't turned in (don't ask):
1. North Park University  -- accepted to undergrad               
2. Chicago State

nursing schools i plan to add on my list:
1. West Suburban
2. any other community college (for RN program)

I want to get into UIC's program but i KNOW my application is not as appealing compared to others.. it doesn't hurt to still hope right? who knows.. *crosses fingers*
..but im still doubtful

to be honest, i thought i wouldn't get accepted anywhere cause i messed up my freshman year. seriously.
